My name is Sandi Smoker and I serve as Mental Health Program Supervisor and Counsellor with the Pender Islands Health Centre. Originally from Nanaimo, I moved to Vancouver to complete my MA, training as a Hospital Chaplin/Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner with Providence Health Care in acute care and long term care. I specialized in acute care psychiatry, geriatric medicine, critical care and palliative care. I am a watercolour artist and an Art Therapist, trained through the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. I am a co-scholar on the Arts for Equity Research Project.
